Temp staffing companies have seen a rise of more number of permanent staff preferring temporary jobs. This is in contrast to the typical Indian employment mindset of placing job security ahead of opportunity. The change in mindset puts the following on priority -
- better opportunity in terms of career profile and brand
- employees get a higher pay packet as temp jobs are high paying
- employment opportunities are high so employees don’t care about losing a job all of a sudden
- hire and fire rules for permanent and temporary jobs are the same – notice period as per terms of employment
