ESI Wage limit to be increased to Rs. 25,000/-

The decision to enhance the pay limit for ESI coverage was taken at ESIC’s 160th meeting held in September this year. And thereafter the Government’s recent decision to raise the pay limit from Rs 15,000/month to Rs 25,000/month but yet to be officially introduced. The decision to increase the coverage without any improvement in service quality has been opposed by a section of trade unions.

ESIC is said to be sitting on a corpus which is in excess of half the contribution of Rs 7070 crore. With an employee having gross salary of Rs 25000 works to a Cost to Company Salary of approximately Rs 28000. This single move shall lead to an additional burden of Rs 1200 for employers for every employee with Gross Salary of Rs 25000 and decrease the net pay of the employee by Rs 450.

If there were improvements in medical facilities and medicine availability, the increase would have been a welcome amendment.

    Respected Forum,
    Before deciding to raise the salary ceiling cap from 15000/- to 25000/-, the Hon’ble Minister and the Central govt. in power should think of the repercussions, i.e. who actually gets benfit and who looses. Fine, on paper it is rosy to say every thing by the Minister. Is he aware of the facts, related to the conditions and services rendered by ESIC Hospitals to the subscribers. Perhaps not! It actually hurts a lot. The related issue is to enhance the ceiling limit for Pension. It all goes to the head of an employer. The employer ,who ever he may be, has to pay from his business earnings.If at all, all the Govt. Rules and Regulations are to be implemented in its True perspective, they will have to pass on the expenses to consumer in the form of better margins. Ultimately, the product cost will go up naturally and it will be a burden on common man. Mind You, there are citizens ranging from 60-65 % of population who has to work on their own to earn their Bread and taking care of family members. It is my experience, it serves “no purpose”, except of few vested interests in the Govt, just to show figures of improvement in parliament.The opportunistic group of this country is making mockery of Democracy and looting the Public in the name of serving the poor. Knowingly, politicians introduce these schemes, only to fool the public in general and loot the Govt. funds.It is better for the Govt. to take a stand on it and initiate strict vigilance in monitoring their employees.

I appeal to all the concerned, first set right the administration of ESIC and punish the culprits. without doing the real work, there is no point in enhancing the salary ceiling. it becomes an additional weapon for the Looters in Department. Every single claim of treatment taken outside the ESIC has to be bribed, even in ESIC also people have to bribe for better treatment. Is this the only option available ? Let me know.

    Plz increase the ESIC sallery limit 15000 to 25000 because my father is blood cancer peshent. Now my sellary is 17000 so esic stop the my father medicine. Dabai bahut costly hone ki bjeh se m dabi nhi kharid skta. Ho ske to mere papa ko bacha lo. unki dabai dowara se shuru kr do. MaI aapka aabhari rahunga

    THE REAISING OF CEILING LIMIT CAN BE INCREASED BUT THE HOSPITALITY AT ESI OFFICES, DISPENCERYS & HOSPITALS TO BE MONITORED. THIS HAS TO BE VIEWED SERIOUSLY. EVEN AFTER THAT WE PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO ESI SINCE WE HAVE TO GET ONE DAY LEAVE FOR GOING TO ESI AND IF WE GO ALSO THERE IS LOT OF FORMOLITIES SAID BY THE ESI OFFICIALS WHICH COULDN’T COVERED IN TIME. SO PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND MAKE THE SCAHME WORTHFUL..

    it is the question of life and death to few families ..
    as Bcz the salary which goes just a rupee above 15000 and the family is lost the ESIC cover..
    it may take so many lives as the treatment is going on under ESI..
    be the actual life saver ..!!
    prove that it actually provides social security ..!!

    Sir,
    Esic wage enhancing is good but the burden of employer as well as employees’ I suggest that the payment of Contribution charged on Rs. 15000/- and the cash benefit also paid by esic subject to maximum Rs. 15000/- but the coverage of an employee should be increase Rs.15000/- to 25000/- so that the esic net will increase without the financial burden on the employees’ and employer.It is also necessary to pressurise to ESIC for enhance its medical facility upto the mark of a executive employee can take benefit of medical facility without inconvenience.

    Dear Sir,

    ESIC limit increased to 15000 to 25000 but esic no medicians in dispinsery. So problem no scaning and total factilities is not there.
    Dental is there but no replace teeth
    pls that facilities is esic dispiniary.

    I know that they are surving a middle quality treatment….and now i am posting my thought….
    See my mother is a victem of ckd and she is taking hemodialysis thrice in a week….it is not atall possible to handle the situation by giving 35000 rs per mo
    nth from my poket.so esic s
    eems to me a roof on my head….this is my story…even if i get 40000 as a salary per month though it is tough.and i am sure that whoever is struggling with this it is not possible for them also.
    So this is my story and as of now i am out of this facility..i thik our country is under a mixed situation…some thing comes as a blessings which came in my case…and its also sure that many of our poor people also not geeting that much facility…so what shuld be done and what shuld be a ideal deal alone i cant say
    But as per my situation i am ready to accept the move from 15000 to 25000
    People will think i am thinking only about my case…but i am telling as a whole i an sure there r many people is in my situation

    dear sir,
    pl consider for Those vrs person who are bound to tack vrs from establishment w.e.f feb’2016 and the member wages selling cross rs 15000/- on the date of retired.but they have no scop to take super annuation due to ESI act. my propossal is please find a way to get a super annuation facility for vrs person who are above 15000/-
